Pilates Studio In the Hills has been open for 19 years. The business was originally opened by Robyn Doughty in Castle Hill. Robyn opened the studio because she felt there was a need for a pilates studio in Sydney’s Hills District that taught pilates true to the Joseph Pilates method using high quality pilates equipment.
Her daughter Madeleine (Maddie) Doughty opened the Rouse Hill studio in 2013. Soon after, Robyn retired and the Castle Hill studio merged with Rouse Hill. Maddie is a third generation Joseph Pilates student (meaning the person who taught her Pilates was taught by a person who was taught by THE Joseph Pilates).
Maddie and the team are really big on creating a friendly studio environment so that everyone feels comfortable when doing their pilates.
At Pilates Studio In the Hills, each pilates instructor is employed because of their training. We only employ people that have done a diploma in pilates. This requires a minimum of 1 year of training, though many of our instructors have done more than this. We pick our staff because they are good teachers, not just good at doing pilates themselves.
The studio is beautifully set-up to feel like a haven for our clients. We’ve got top quality pilates equipment, a freshen up station and beautiful indoor plants to help you get into the ‘calm zone’.
